My View

Your information in My View

My View captures a Facebook post only when you open the extension, select a post, or use “Use in My View”. It does not collect your Facebook password, cookies, messages, browsing history or feed.

Captured text and your draft stay in browser session storage until the browser session ends, you sign out of My View, or another capture replaces them. When signed in, capture metadata is sent to My View to measure whether capture leads to a reply. Facebook text is not stored in the database by default.

Requesting suggestions sends your chosen post, saved preferences and instructions to the My View server and OpenAI. Suggested and final reply text is stored to understand edits. Writing a reply directly works without OpenAI.

Your account, preferences, capture metadata and interactions are stored in the My View database. Clerk provides My View authentication. Your Facebook identity stays separate. There is no cohort administrator access to your private preferences in this prototype.

My View can insert text into an empty Facebook comment field or copy a reply. You always review it and click Facebook’s final publishing button yourself. Copying or inserting is recorded as a handoff, not proof that you published.
